Choosing Supportive Swimwear for a Larger Bust

For our ladies with a bigger bust shopping for swimwear can be frustrating and disappointing. Most mainstream brands are designed for smaller busts and simply don’t have the support you need.

Curvy Swimwear design our suits with wider straps and add underwire to ensure maximum bust support. We understand the support and fit needed by our bigger busted ladies.

Wearing your swimsuit should be fun and carefree. Whether you are out in the surf or longing by the pool you want to be relaxed. For women with a larger bust that means you want comfortable and ample support. This doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice style or feel restricted, we havea number of options we have designed to keep you supported and feel comfortable and secure. Whether you choose torock that bikini or want a little more coverage offered by a one piece we have a solution for you.

Here's a breakdown of the styles you need to keep an eye out for:

THICK STRAPS

Thinner straps unfortunately just don’t provide the support needed for larger cup sizes. They will dig in to your shoulders, creating those red marks and won’t give the lift you need.
The wider straps on our Bikini and Tankini tops distribute the weight from a larger bust more evenly, stopping the digging in issue and giving you the support, you need. The panels and underwire reinforce the structure of the bra cups.
Our top’s also all feature adjustable straps you cancriss cross over in the back.

HIGH NECK

A swimsuit with a higher neck is an excellent choice if you don’t want the hassle of a neckline that slips down. This look also draws the eye upwards which creates a lengthening and slimming effect, perfect if you want to downplay the bust area.
Another great trick is choosing a suit with some detailing to break up the look of the neckline, this helps to prevent widening effect that can happen with a lower neckline.
Keyhole necklines add an alluring touch while maintaining coverage, giving that glimpse of skin but keeping the overall lengthened look.

HALTER TOPS

Halter tops are fantastic if you’re after comfortable support. The ties allow you control to ensure you get the exact fit you want and feel comfortable with and is generally a flattering style onevery body shape and bust size.

You can go for fun details such as shirring, frills and look for a top withmoulded cups and some underwire or side boning to maintain support. Our Triangle Bikini top is perfect!!

TANKINI

This Bikini/One piece hybrid is a longtimefavourite with our Curvy Swimwear customers and for good reason. It’s flattering on a wide range of body types and the slimming fit of the Tankini top balances out a larger bustline. Our Tankini’s come in several style options such as the3 tierfrill, ruching and our paneled and v -neck styles.

Featuring built-in shelf bra’s,moulded cups, underwire and side boning, power mesh for added tummy support and slimming, mastectomypouches and adjustable/removable straps our Tankini tops cover all bases and will be your swimsuit hero this summer! Available ina range of colours and prints to suit all styles.

 UNDERWIRE

Lingerie style swimwear tops with added underwire are a no brainer for our larger chested customers, giving you a beautiful look with a fit that will keep you comfortable all day.

Our Bikini and bandeau tops are available ina number of fun and flirty prints with matching bottoms available if you want to go for a matching set or you can mix and match for a fun look that will keep you well supported in and out of the water.

Size guide

All of our swimsuits are true to size. This means you should follow your normal sizing.

The best guide is your underwear - so what you would wear in a bra and undies is the size you order from us in tops and bottoms. For example, in you wear an 18E bra, you should order a size 18 swimsuit top from us.

If you are looking for a one piece and are in between sizes, say an 18E bra and a 20 in underpants, we recommend choosing the larger of the two sizes - so a size 20 in this case.

If you have any issues with your new swimsuit, we do 30 day refunds for full priced items and exchanges for all items - so you can swap to a size or style that is more suitable for you!
