Escape from the winter this month and head to a warmer climate without having to travel far! We have put together some of the best winter escapes in QLD that will make you forget all about the cold and welcome you to warm coastal temperatures only found in North Queensland this time of year.

Thala Beach Lodge is located on Queensland’s northernmost headland of a two-kilometre stretch of untouched coastline. The views from the restaurant are panoramic, taking in the Far North Queensland coast from Double Island to Cape Tribulation, and from the sparkling waters of the Great Barrier Reef to the World Heritage Forests that cover their coastal ranges.  Whether strolling under the coconut palms on the private tropical beach or relaxing with cocktails watching the sunset over the coastal ranges, Thala Beach Lodge will enchant you.

Be greeted by welcome tropical mocktails on arrival and enjoy the pool with waterfalls and spa grottos for that late night romantic swim, or just recline on the edge of the pool water and gaze out over the ocean. A beautiful picnic basket can be arranged for lunch or an early dinner on the beach or why not try the sea kayaks to look for marine turtles, stingrays, dolphins and dugongs. You’ll forget all about winter in this warm and tropical atmosphere.

Allawah Retreat overlooks the picturesque Atherton Tablelands and offers four secluded, self-contained lodges for couples. Experience the feeling of remoteness on 150 glorious acres, and leave the world and daily stresses behind you, without sacrificing the creature comforts these secluded lodges provide. Only 1 hour's scenic drive from Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, winter doesn’t exist in this paradise.

The lodges are built in the style of pole homes, with elevated decks, which look through the treetops to the views beyond. Stay in the hideaway lodge to experiencean exclusive “Hot Springs” heated deck spa on the sun deck complete with a double hammock where you can sunbake in the day and stargaze in the evening. Create enchanting nights in front of the cosy fireplace and bbq the day away in this Eden garden.

All of our swimsuits are true to size. This means you should follow your normal sizing.

If you are between sizes, we recommend going up a size.

If you are buying chlorine resistant swimwear, we recommend going up a size as the fabric is a little bit firmer.

Any issues, Curvy Swimwear is happy to exchange sizes and help you find the right swimsuit for you!
